Mrs. Rosalie Wright Dyches was born in Greenwood, SC, October 15, 1921 to the late Lillie M. Keller Fowler and Will Wright. She was the second child of three siblings.

Rosalie at the age of 91, entered into eternal rest early Sunday morning, August 25, 2013. Her mother passed away twenty-three years ago on this same date, August 25, 1990.

She attended and completed school in Greenwood, SC and later relocated to Philadelphia, PA. She worked as a press operator and retired after thirty years from Crown, Can, Cork and Seal Corp.

Her faith was Presbyterian.

Rosalie was known for her passion for gardening. Her yard had the most beautiful flower gardens. She also loved reading, crocheting, cooking and later quilting.

This very gracious and elegant lady was a loving wife and a devoted mother with a lot of love for her family.

She is survived by three children, Dorthy Mathis Hutchinson of MD, Zachary E. Dyches and Alan Dyches, both of PA; three stepchildren, Rev. Lee James Dyches Jr. and Jeanne Buthume, both of Philadelphia, PA and Sarah Austin of VA; one daughter-in-law, Erlene Dyches; one brother-in-law, Demp Dyches of Philadelphia, PA; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and a host of loving and caring nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Dyches Sr; her first born son, George Mathis (aka Pete); two sisters, Mattie Tatum and Queen Ester Freeman.
